The effect of color – Black

Black is the monarchy of the fashion world. As history revels, black has always been associated with mystery and corruption. However it is a forceful color in fashion. Black does not bring as much focus to the garment as it brings to the weaver. Black creates a definite statement on the silhouette and the form of the dress. Black color does complete justice to the ethnic costumes.

When used with bold and vivid colors, it gives a strong and festive effect. As against white, black has the power to absorb vivid hues. Men in black in a party do justice to the rainbow of hues around made by the women dressed in bright colors. After red, we can say black has dominated fashion world.

When in doubt, we must always wear black. It’s a practical solution to women’s fashion dilemma. Black color allows the weaver to suit different personalities, giving them a warm, cold, modern, dramatic or subdued image. Almost all hues get richer and bolder when paired with black. Just as white suggests innocence, black evokes sophistication.

Black color being used for evenings is a universal formula, whether you use it in lace or silk, or chiffon or velvet or brocade. Black is the core of all wardrobes. Black fabric can be beaded, embroidered, pleated, crinkled or embellished. Black appears different in artificial light as compared to daylight. Every season new colors are forecasted and introduced but, black continues to be in the league.
