Many of our skin problems starts because we don’t know our skin properly. Whether you be a men or women, you should know to which type your skin belong to before you treat your skin. There are four major skin type.
DRY
SKIN
Dry
skin has a very dry and patched appearance and it has a tendency to flake
easily. This skin type is prone to wrinkle and lines which is normally
associated with ageing. Some people have a naturally dry skin. Even if your
skin is naturally dry, the right nourishment can work wonders. If you have a
dry skin you should definitely have a moisturising routine.
NORMAL
SKIN
Normal
skin type is neither too oily nor too dry. It is not over sensitive to wind,
sunlight or cold. It does not have open pores and poses little problems unless
it has been neglected or abused.
OILY
SKIN
Generally
people develop an oily skin in their teens. One’s skin becomes very oily by the
overproduction of sebaceous glands. People who have oily skin should avid oily
food, starches and sugar. If your skin type is oily, you should have a rigid
skin care regime and should remove every trace of make up every night before
going to bed. You should use mild exfoliates while bathing.
SENSITIVE
SKIN
Sensitive
skin is usually very dry, thin and delicate with fine pores and it tends to
feel tight. It becomes inflamed and irritated easily. People with this skin
type should avoid products with alcohol or unnecessary chemical ingredients
that may irritate the skin. You can use almond oil to cleanse the face.
Now
let’s find our skin type. To find your skin type all your need is just three
steps with a tissue paper.
First
you need to wash your face with a good cleanser. After the wash, light dry your
skin with a towel. Now take a tissue paper and blot it on all areas of your
skin.
If
the tissue shows no sign of oil and your skin looks generally healthy then you
have a NORMAL SKIN.
If
the tissue show no oil, but your face feels very tight and flaky then you have
a DRY SKIN.
If
the tissue is oily and your face looks shiny especially on the nose, forehead
and cheeks then you have an OILY SKIN.
If you are left with oil in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) and while other areas of the face are dry then you have a SENSITIVE SKIN.
