Orange
is a powerful color. A secondary hue, created from red and yellow, it is
greatly a versatile color. People often misunderstand this color that they
cannot wear it. But orange ranges from the palest peach, which is flattering to
the electric modern shade to subdued earth tones. When in fashion, orange can
evoke varied images.
Before
wearing orange, we must be careful to choose the image we wish to project.

life preservers are often seen. To make it subdue, we use it with brown and
other dull colors to create a sense of harmony and balance. It finally results
in a sophisticated and elegant image. Bright complimentary hues accelerate its

Orange paired with tints
and shades of its own, compliments. It gives it varied images like bright,
rich, quite, elegant, warm, classic and pale. As a day color, pale orange works
well, flattering the skin tones. Saturated orange also look too good in a bright
daylight. When turned into deeper shades of rust and brown, it makes orange
conservative and business like, or warm and rustic. As an evening color, it
looks elegant when worn in velvet and taffeta fabric. Burnt orange and burnt
sienna look beautiful against dark skin tones. Orange when dyed on linen, wool
and velvet create three different hues. Pale orange will suit best on linen and
silk. As the tone of orange intensifies, its fabric also changes to heavier
ones, which are more suited on matt finishing.
