THE EFFECT OF COLORS - YELLOW

Yellow is bold and electric and it stands out. Yellow is traditionally used on outer wears and raincoats for safety as its wavelength and visibility is more. Yellow is more feminine than pink, especially for Indian skin. Associated with sun, it is a scared color with primitive appeal.
Yellow when worn with whites and off-whites glows and gives a look of eternal summer. When contrasted with lilac or blue or lavender, it is refreshing and sporty. Transparent fabric of yellow gives a modern bright look. Yellow used on organdy and silk is sophisticated and mysterious. Yellow contrasted with pink is dramatic and bold and changes with the depth of pink or yellow changing. It is placed near white to judge the brightness level. Hence, it looks dramatic with black.
Pure bright yellow is cool. Deeper yellows are warm. Cool yellows can be mixed with colors from either side of wheel i.e. green, yellow and red. Warm yellow color combines best with cool neutral colors like brown, pale green, lavender. Yellow produces a radiant effect, quite effects, bright effect, a strong effect, an energetic effect. When worn at daytime, pale shades are used. Darker shades are frequently paired with other colors. Stripes, checks and floral prints are also seen in yellow.
As an evening color yellow has an exotic appeal. Silk, velvet and taffetas are all found in royal shades of yellow. They are also worn for dramatic and spotlight looks. A small amount of yellow also gives zest to the entire color scheme of duller neutrals. Yellow looks well on synthetic fabrics. Yellow is important for jacquards, for accessories and for sportswear.

STYLE DECODE - TARA KHANNA, MADE IN HEAVEN

'Made In Heaven' is about two wedding planners, Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra and the crazy things that come with planning big fat Indian weddings. Tara Khanna is a hard-working entrepreneur who runs a wedding management company with her friend. The character is played by supremely beautiful Sobitha Dhulipala . Tara wears custom-fit pantsuits, semi-formal dresses, and gorgeous, silk sarees throughout the show. I must say, she looks every bit the elite, urban, working woman she enacts in the series. Her character is giving major fashion goals for work to casual wear and glammed up looks. Apart from her strong character, her styling and dressing throughout the series have got us drooling!! Each stroke of styling is right for the character. The whole looks are styled by stylist Poornamrita Singh . Here are my top five favorite looks from the series. 1.     A royal blue, collared shirt with floor length, princess skirt in mustard jacquard. ...
